Custom content refers to any material that you personally write or create. With AdvisorStream, you have the opportunity to publish your original content in your own library, making it accessible across all channels.
Begin by heading to the Library of your AdvisorStream account.
- Step 1: Click Add New Content
- Step 2: Click on Pages in the left menu and select your account name from the list
- Step 3: Click on the ellipsis (“three dot”) menu and select Add Child Page
- Step 4: Click on Article page
- Step 5: Enter the Page title as you want it to appear. Note: This is a plain text field, so your formatting options are limited to capitalization and spaces.
- Step 6: Add content to the Paragraph block. Note: you can add text, images, videos, and hyperlinks in the Paragraph field by clicking the + to the left of the text box.
- Step 7: To add an image with a caption, use the Aligned image block
- Step 8: To add a YouTube or Vimeo link to embed a video into your content, use the Aligned embed block
Note: While you have the ability to enter HTML code, we recommend against using this option. Your content will display the best (and most consistently across browsers and devices) using our built-in tools and styles.
- Step 9: Enter your Footnote as you want it to appear
At any time, click on Save draft to save your progress. We recommend clicking Save draft regularly as you work.
Once you are finished adding your content, click Publish. Publishing the content will make content available in user libraries.
How to Schedule Custom Content:
Articles/content can be created in advanced and scheduled to publish at a later date.
- Step 1: Click on the i (information) button in the upper-right. Then click Set schedule.
- Step 2: Select your Go live date/time as well as your Expiry date/time (expiration or “unpublish” date). Click Save schedule once finished.
