As a program coordinator, getting your users set up quickly and efficiently is essential for a smooth and successful onboarding experience. Our bulk account creation tool is designed to make this process as seamless as possible—whether you’re onboarding a single user or your entire organization.
With just a few straightforward steps, you can not only create multiple user accounts at once but also pre-populate each account with critical information such as Profile details, Branding, and even Contacts. By automating these foundational tasks, you empower your users to hit the ground running on day one, saving valuable time and reducing manual data entry.
Note: This feature is only available for Enterprise Customers.
In this resource, you’ll find everything you need to know to create new user accounts at scale and set them up for immediate success. Let’s get started!
1. Complete the CSV Template
- Use the Advisorstream Account Creation Template provided to you.
- Important: The headers in the template must remain EXACTLY as provided—do NOT add, remove, or alter any column headers. Any changes will result in errors or failed uploads.
- Fill in the required information for each user: First Name, Last Name, and Email (these are mandatory for account creation).
- Optionally, pre-populate additional fields to set up user Profiles, Brands, and Contacts
- If choosing to include the Profile photo, Brand logo and/or Contacts these assets must be weblinks.
2. Save Your CSV File
- Once completed, save the file in CSV format. No other file formats are supported.
3. Access the Account Creation Portal
- Sign In to the portal using your program coordinator credentials.
4. Upload Your CSV File
- Attach the completed CSV template you just saved.
5. Set or Skip Passwords
- Add a password if you plan to distribute it directly to users.
- If left blank, each user will automatically receive an onboarding email with a temporary password [Recommended]
6. Tracker: Add Broker Dealer Group
- From the dropdown, select your Broker Dealer Group name.
7. Approve Profiles & Brands
- Leaving the checkbox selected routes new profiles and brands to your compliance team for review before activation.
- Uncheck this option if you wish to bypass compliance review for these fields.
8. Bypass Email Verification
- Leaving this option checked will bypass the additional email verification step for users.
9. SSO Provider (if applicable)
- For organizations using Single Sign-On: select your group name from the dropdown.
10. Country
- Specify the applicable country for these accounts.
11. Upload Your Users
- Click the Upload button to start the account creation process.
12. Monitor Progress & Refresh as Needed
- Allow several seconds to a minute for processing.
- Refresh your browser periodically. Once the upload is complete, you'll see a list of successfully created accounts and a confirmation message: "Upload Complete."
- For large uploads, continue refreshing until all accounts appear.
