The Automation Settings is divided into several sections, each offering specific communication options. You can select your automation by selecting Create Automation.
- Customize: Click the “Edit Settings” or “Customize Delivery” button to tailor automation level, persona, and recipient lists.
- Activate/Deactivate: Easily turn automations on or off based on your business calendar and goals.
Let's get started:
1. Click "Edit Settings" or "Customize Delivery" to update your automation level, recipients, greeting, and persona.
2. Select the automation type that best suits your needs.
3. Click "Next."
4. Choose your preferred greeting and salutation.
5. Select the persona you want to send the newsletter as.
6. For Broadridge Monthly Newsletters, choose a message template, approved intro note, or custom message.
7. Choose your recipients by selecting specific lists, or check "Select All" to send to all imported active contacts.
8. Click "Next."
9. Review the total number of contacts enrolled and the delivery method.
10. To make changes, click the "Edit Settings" button.
11. If no changes are needed, click the "Submit" button to confirm your automation settings.
12. To go back to the previous step, click the "Back" button.
Note here, to repeat setup for each newsletter, weekly, monthly and French (if applicable)
Understanding your Automation Levels:
Fully-Automated [Recommended]
Choose this option if you prefer a "set it and forget it" approach or usually use the pre-approved curated newsletter. AdvisorStream will automatically send your suggested newsletter every Friday, ensuring consistent weekly communication without any extra work. You won’t miss an opportunity to stay in touch.
You still have full control—you can review, edit or decline the newsletter for any week using any of these methods:
- In your newsletter notification, click "Decline."
- In your Outbox, hover over the date and click the Thumbs Down icon.
- In the Newsletter Builder, click "Decline."
Semi-Automated [Action Required]
This option is ideal for advisors or teams who want to review and personalize the newsletter before it’s sent. You must approve the content each week for AdvisorStream to send it on your behalf.
You can approve the newsletter in any of these ways:
- In your newsletter notification, click "Approve."
- In your Outbox, hover over the date and click the Thumbs Up icon.
- In the Newsletter Builder, click "Approve."
Not-Automated [DIY]
With this setting, you are responsible for sending out your newsletter manually each week. No automated delivery will occur. For instructions on how to manually send your newsletter, click here to learn more.
