Video Studio enables financial advisors to easily create and share professional video content with clients and prospects. As video continues to play an increasingly important role in communication and digital engagement, this feature helps advisors strengthen relationships, promote their services, and extend their reach across channels.
Getting Started
1. Log in to AdvisorStream.
2. Navigate to the Video tab.
Dashboard
When you open the Video tab, you will land on the Video home page. From here, you can:
• View the videos you have created
• Access available scripts, including your own scripts as well as those provided by Broadridge or Home Office
• Create, edit, and delete scripts
• Edit, copy, or download videos
Record a Video
1. Click Create New Video on the Video home page
• You can also click Record Video next to an existing script
2. The recording page will open automatically and display
• the script list
• the record button
• the video playback window
3. Select the script you would like to use from the panel on the right side of the page
4. Click the Record button to begin. A pop-up window will appear.
5. In the pop-up, click Start Recording. Visual indicators will show that recording is in progress.
Note: Your recording must be at least 10 seconds long.
6. If needed, adjust the teleprompter settings, including
• scroll speed
• font size
• teleprompter placement
Practice mode is also available if you want to scroll through the script without recording.
7. When you are finished recording, click Stop Recording, then select Use Recording to apply the recorded clip to your video.
Note: It may take 4–5 seconds for the Use Recording button to become available.
Complete a Video
1. After selecting Use Recording, you will be taken to the preview screen where you can review your video.
Note: The preview may take approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute to load.
2. If enabled for your account, you can update branding and video settings such as
logo
font
color
address
video thumbnail
Invalid uploads will display an error message.
Note: Available branding and settings options depend on your administrator permissions.
3. Once everything is ready, click Complete Video to finalize the video.
Note: Finalized videos cannot be edited, but you can create a copy if needed.
Note: Video processing may take approximately 2–3 minutes.
4. After completion, you can share the video through supported channels such as
• email
• LinkedIn
• X
• Instagram
• Facebook
5. Shared videos will appear in the Outbox or move through your organization’s compliance workflow, depending on your setup.
Create a Script
1. On the Video home page, click New Script.
2. In the pop-up window, enter the video title and script content. Both fields are required.
3. Character limits and counts will be displayed for each field.
4. Click Save Script to save your new script.
5. If required fields are left blank or character limits are exceeded, a warning message will appear.
Edit a Script
1. Go to the Video home page or the Scripts tab.
2. Find the script you want to update.
3. If you have permission, click Edit.
4. The Edit Script pop-up will open with the current title and content pre-filled.
5. Update the title and/or script content as needed.
6. Click Save to apply your changes.
7. If you close the pop-up before saving, your changes will not be retained.
Delete a Script
1. Go to the Video home page or the Scripts tab.
2. Find the script you want to remove.
3. If you have permission, click Delete.
4. A confirmation message will appear.
5. Click Confirm to permanently delete the script.
