AdvisorStream allows an account owner to grant access to their account, typically to an assistant. This enables the assistant to manage and perform tasks on behalf of the account owner.
Before getting started, you must have an AdvisorStream delegate access account type. You can create a delegate account here.
Begin by heading to Account & Settings of your AdvisorStream account.
- Step 1: From the left-side menu select My Advisors
- Step 2: Enter the Advisor’s Name, Email Address, and Email Message. Click Send.
This will send an email to the Advisor where they can accept your access, and the connection will show as Pending under Active Advisor Connections.
Note: The Advisor must have an active AdvisorStream account associated with the email address you are trying to gain access to.
- Step 3: Once the Advisor receives the email with the subject line “Access Request: Action Required”, the Advisor can click Accept where they can grant access to their delegate.
-
Step 4: To access the Advisor’s account, click the dropdown under your name at the upper right corner under Login As. Select the Advisor account you wish to access.
Note: all active Advisor connections will be displayed for you to login as.
-
Step 5: To return to your account, click on the upper right corner dropdown and click Release.
