Overview
Depending on your account requirements, Multifactor Authentication (MFA) may be required or enabled by your home office. MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code in addition to your password when signing in.
Initial MFA Setup
When you log in to AdvisorStream for the first time and MFA is required or enabled on your account, you will be prompted to choose your preferred authentication method. This is a one-time setup process.
Available Authentication Methods
- Email – Automatically uses the email address associated with your account
- Text Message (SMS) – Uses your mobile phone number
You must select and verify one of these methods during your first login. This step is required to capture and confirm your chosen authentication method in accordance with MFA security standards.
Once the setup is complete, your MFA preference will be saved to your account.
