Social Media Content Library: Sharing Social Posts as a Curator

The Social Media Content Library is a unified place where home-office curators and advisors can create custom posts, save content for later, find posts, and manage which advisors can access social media content. Posts can be saved without setting a publication date or time; advisors can schedule them later.

Find the library and content:

• In AdvisorStream, expand Libraries in the left-hand menu and select Social Media Content.
• Use Library, Published, Scheduled, and Drafts to view available posts, posts scheduled for later, posts published and unfinished drafts.
• Search or filter by title, channel, tags, or date range to find a post.

Library status definitions:

• Library: Social media content available in the library.
• Scheduled: Posts scheduled for later.
• Drafts: Posts still being prepared.
• Published: When a curator shares a social post on behalf of their advisors, it will appear in the curator’s Published tab. 

New to the feature? A newly enabled library may be empty at first. 

Create and distribute a post:

• In the library, select + Add New Item.
• Add a clear title and write the post text. The post text limit shown in the form is 700 characters.
• If useful, select Generate AI for topic suggestions tailored to your audience.

Tip: Use relevant hashtags. Add a few clear, topic-related hashtags to your post so people can find it when searching for or following those topics on platforms that support hashtags. Add custom Hashtags within your description.

• Add media. Upload up to 10 static images or record a video. You can choose the order in which the images appear.
• Set distribution. Choose Specific Advisors or Advisor Groups, then select the intended advisors or groups. The post will appear in the social content library for the selected audience.
• Under Sharing Settings, choose the social network types the post is appropriate for and add relevant tags.
• Save your work. Select Save Draft to continue later, or Save to Content Library when the post is ready to distribute.

Note: Tags are populated using the existing AdvisorStream Tag topics.

Note: When an Advisor shares a social post created by home office, the intended social post should remain in the advisors and curator's social media content library.
