Automations helps you easily manage your campaign and newsletter communications—all in one place. This guide will walk you through accessing, setting up, and customizing automation for your newsletters and campaigns.
Accessing Automations
Step 1: Login to your AdvisorStream account
Step 2: Click on Automations along the purple banner
Understanding Access:
Automations you can use will depend on your permissions:
Broadridge Forefield Content: Needed for Broadridge content campaigns and newsletters.
French Language: Required for French newsletter automation.
All Other Users: You will see options available for all users (e.g., Weekly Suggested Newsletter).
Setting Up a Campaign or Newsletter Automation
Step 1: Select a Newsletter or Campaign
You’ll see a list of available automations:
- Broadridge Content Campaigns (Formerly known as “Set & Forget”)
- Broadridge-Authored Monthly Newsletter
- Weekly Suggested Newsletter with Publisher Content
- Weekly French Newsletter (if available)
Click on Customize Delivery for the newsletter or campaign you want to automate.
Step 2: Choose Your Automation Level
You will be prompted to select how you want automation to work:
Not Automated: You review and send communications yourself.
Semi-automated: You review content in your Outbox before it’s automatically sent to your contacts.
Fully automated: AdvisorStream sends communications automatically on your behalf.
Step 3: Customize Your Emails or Social Post
Add a greeting and salutation.
Customize the subject line or use default subject line.
Personalize your message or use the default text.
Add branding and select your persona (if applicable).
Step 4: Select Your Recipients for Email Automations
For automated campaigns, your current auto send lists are migrated.
To add or remove recipients, use the Recipients section to choose contacts or groups.
Migration & Managing Existing Settings
If you used previous automated features (like Newsletter Automation or Auto-Send List), your settings and recipients are automatically carried over.
You do not need to take action unless you want to review or change your existing automations.
Managing and Editing Automations
Editing an Automation
Step 1: Select Automations along the purple banner
Step 2: Find your existing market review or newsletter.
Step 3: Click Edit Settings.
Step 4: Update automation level, recipients, or customizations as needed.
Step 5: Click Submit.
Note: Automations are currently for your newsletters and market reviews. This does not automate your daily articles within your social scheduler.

Q: Why don’t I see a newsletter or content type I expect?
A: Some options require special permissions. Contact support if you need access.
Q: Are my existing recipient lists and settings lost?
A: No, they have been migrated into Automations.
Q: How do I start using the new Broadridge Monthly Newsletter?
A: Open Automations, find the Broadridge Authored Monthly Newsletter, and follow the setup prompts.
Q: Can I change automation levels later?
