What Are Intro Notes?
- Supervised Users: Must create and use Intro Notes that go through compliance review.

Non-Supervised Advisors: Can write their own custom message at the time of setting up your Automation (no compliance step required).
Managing Intro Notes
You can manage your Intro Notes by following the steps below:
1. Navigate to Account & Settings → Intro Notes.
2. Click Create New.
3. Enter the following details
Intro Note Title: Internal use only (this will not be visible to recipients).
Intro Note Content: The message that will appear to your recipients.
4. Click Save.
Once saved, the Intro Note will automatically be submitted for compliance review.
The compliance status of each Intro Note will appear in the Compliance Status column within your Intro Notes section and only approved Intro Notes can be used in distributions.
Adding an Intro Note to Automations
Once your Intro Note is approved, you can add it to any Automations.
1. Navigate to Automations.
2. Select either
- Monthly Broadridge Newsletter,
- Market Review, or
- Alert.
3. Click Edit Settings.
4. Go to the Customize step.
5. Custom Subject line can be added for users that are not under a compliance workflow.
6. From the Intro Note dropdown, choose your Intro Note.
Note: Only approved Intro Notes will be available for selection if you are under a compliance workflow.
