The Custom Social Post feature allows you to create and schedule your own social media content, independent of AdvisorStream’s library. You can upload your own image, write a unique message, upload or record a video, and share it directly to your connected social media accounts.
Step 1: Navigate to the Library
From the main menu, go to the Library section.
Step 2: Start Creating a Custom Post
Click Create Custom Post to begin creating your own social media post.
Step 3: Select Social Media Networks
Choose the social networks and pages where you want this post to be shared (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, X/Twitter).
Step 4: Write Your Post
Enter a Post Title (optional, depending on your workflow).
Add your Message — the main text that will be displayed on social media.
Tip: Keep your message concise and engaging. Consider including a clear call-to-action.
Step 5: Choose Your Media Type
Select whether you want to share:
A photo
A video (upload or record)
Text only (no media)
Step 6: Upload Your Media
If adding media:
Upload Image(s): Choose and upload the image(s) you’d like to include.
Upload or Record Video: Add a video file or record one directly.
Tip: Use high-quality visuals that represent your message for the best engagement.
Step 7: Continue to Scheduling
Click Continue to proceed.
Step 8: Choose Posting Time
Select whether you want to:
Share immediately, or
Schedule the post for a specific date and time.
Step 9: Share Your Post
Click Share to publish.
If scheduled, your post will automatically appear on the selected networks at the designated time.
Step 10: Review on the Marketing Calendar
Once scheduled, the post will appear on the Marketing Calendar at the selected date and time for easy tracking and visibility.
